Los Cristianos is a large area made up of several zones.

The church square and town

In the centre of Los Cristianos is the square near the church, down from which is the beach – Playa Los Cristianos.

Property in this area is typically Spanish. Lots of studios and apartments with small balconies, 3 to 5 stories high and quite tightly packed together.

You can pick up a cheap one here but it is unlikely to have any views, no community pool etc – completely residential in design.

If you want to be right in the center of things and don’t mind compromising on the design then this may be what you are looking for but they are unsuitable for most buyers.

There are areas in Los Cristanos were you will find a good few complexes that are very popular with buyers and Tourist but a little way out of the town square.

You will also find a lot of the locals still live in this area and have for a very long time, so a very good mixture of people.

As this area is very built up there are is a huge range of both shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

The beach is only a minute or two from the church square and surrounded by many places to relax and have a cool drink and a bite to eat.

And if you like fish then you will not have any problem finding a place that serves this, and all nice and fresh.

You can walk from Los Cristianos all along the coast right to La Caleta which is a good long walk but it is very flat and with beaches all the way down to Del Duque.

And not to forget Los Cristianos has many fiestas throughout the year and the carnival which is very popular.

So all in all a good chance at finding cheaper property in Los Cristianos, but it’s one of the oldest areas now in the South of Tenerife.
