The Las Carabelas complex is situated next to the hotel Santa Maria in Torviscas. A lovely little complex built in 1988 that many people will never get to know about, as it is hidden away up a little side street, just far enough back to offer a very peaceful and quite environment whilst still being located in the heart of Torviscas and close to the beach.

The security is second to none with lots of security cameras on the complex around 16 in total. The main entrance to the complex have a special security key where each key is numbered individually.

There are two swimming pools on this complex one which is heated in the winter months, both pools have gone through major face-lifts and now looks stunning. All apartments have their own private sunbeds allocated specifically to them and the sun terraces around the pool area are spacious, meaning there is plenty of room for everyone. The smaller of the two pools is also wheelchair friendly meaning disabled guests have full access.

There are only 87 properties on this complex, the majority of which are one bedroom apartments. There is a decent number of two bed apartments and a small number of 3/4 beds but only two 2 bedroom bungalows.

The location is perfect, two minutes from the beach, only minutes from the supermarkets and a very short walk to the many nice restaurants in the area. Las Carabelas is popular with older residents and owners because there are very few steps on the complex, Both Las Carabelas and the surrounding area are very flat in general. Overall it is ideal for wheelchair users and those who may have mobility issues.

There is also WiFi available to everyone on Las Carabelas for a small charge you can have WiFi without having to have a phone line installed. The complex has a good few TV channels to pick from including sports channels, BBC1, BBC2, ITV CH4, CH5 and a few more.


When entering the property you have the first double bedroom on the left a very good size room with plenty of space, two double wardrobes a chest of draws and another free-standing wardrobe, and a window facing the pool.

On the right when entering you have a private store cupboard and just after this the first of two bathrooms this has a standing shower, toilet and sink and not long since been re-tiled.

On the left you have the kitchen area with a good size work top, oven hob and plenty of storage. On from this you will find the utility room with fridge freezer, washing machine, dish washer and another fridge again with lots of room, leading up to an outside door to the terrace.

The main bedroom is very big room with air conditioning, huge stand-alone wardrobe, two big built-in wardrobes and a chest of draws, two single beds and bedside cabinets. There is an en-suite bathroom in this room, also with a small bath and shower, again refurbished very recently all very nice fresh and modern.

The living area has a large dining table, two new sofas, a coffee table, new TV unit with a flat screen TV (with many channels) and other small bits of furniture. The whole room is very spacious and bright with a great bay window behind the TV.

There are two patio doors in the front room both leading to the large outside terrace, and even in the summer this property is kept nice and cool with a constant breeze throughout.

The living room like the rest of the property has the original marble tiled floors.

The outside terrace will get sun from the moment you wake up till early evening so all day sun.

It has its own built in BBQ, which with a terrace this size would be ideal for entertaining guest or family.

Overall size is 77m2 and as said before it’s by far the biggest terrace on this complex and many other properties in this area.

All patio doors, bedroom windows and front door have all been replace with aluminium only recently, there is also a security gate at the front of the property.

The community fees which include water are 207 euros a month, the IBI (rates) are 496 euros a year and the rubbish collection is 13 euros a month.

These are all the outgoings apart from electric, which depends on how much it has been used.
